State League top team - Lady Braves (15-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Cavaliers (8-7) in Bendigo 100-69. Lady Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Tess Madgen (183-1990) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Megan McKay (190-1997, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Louise Brown (189-1995, college: Tennessee) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Taylah Giliam (173-1999) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lady Braves maintains first place in League with 15-2 record. Loser Cavaliers keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Lady Braves will meet Spectres (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Cavaliers will play against Sabres (#13) in Cheltenham and hope to secure a win.
