Rather expected game in Wendouree where 8th ranked Ballarat Rush (10-7) was defeated by fifth ranked Tornadoes (13-6) 89-72 on Sunday. Tornadoes made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Tornadoes had a 32-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Keely Froling (188-1996, college: SMU) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 25 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Mariah Payne (170, college: Minot St.) chipped in 24 points. Guard Isabella Brancatisano (170-1995) produced 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Stephanie Gorman (183, college: San Diego) added 14 points respectively for the hosts.
