State League top team - Lady Braves (17-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighteenth ranked Chargers (4-15) in Bendigo 111-81. Lady Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Chargers' 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a quality performance for forward Megan McKay (190-1997, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international guard Abigail Wehrung (177-1995) accounted for 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Sharna Thompson came up with 32 points and American forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) added 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Chargers in the defeat. Five Lady Braves and four Chargers players scored in double figures. Lady Braves maintains first place in League with 17-2 record. Chargers at the other side dropped to the nineteenth position with 15 games lost.
