Rather expected game in Kalamunda where 12th ranked Suns (2-15) were defeated by ninth ranked Goldfields G. (6-11) 67-55 on Sunday. Goldfields G. forced 21 Suns turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including 35 on the defensive glass. American forward Danielle McCray (185-1993, college: Ole Miss) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Her fellow American import forward Amanda Wayment (185-1996, college: BYU) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Alexis Bland produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ella Thornton-Elliott (170-2003) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Four Suns players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Goldfields G. maintains ninth place in League with 6-11 record.
