Very significant was Kahu's (#1, 10-2) victory against 3rd ranked Pouakai (6-6) 84-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pouakai. Kahu made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Micaela Cocks (175-1986, college: Oregon) who scored 22 points and 7 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Australian guard Tahlia Tupaea (175-1997) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Kahu's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Trinity Baptiste (183-1998, college: Arizona) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and her fellow American import swingman Erin Whalen (185, college: Dayton) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Kahu maintains first position with 10-2 record. Loser Pouakai keeps the third place with six games lost.
