Sydney stormed past NZ Breakers to take 2-1 lead in the Finals. Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to New Zealand Breakers' 18. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by New Zealand Breakers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Derrick Walton Jr (185-1995, college: Michigan) who scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international guard Dejan Vasiljevic (190-1997, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard William McDowell-White (196-1998, college: Fresno St.) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and New Zealand guard Izayah Mauriohooho-Leafa (188-1996, college: Sacramento St., agency: BIG) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Kings and four New Zealand Breakers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
