Regular Season Round 3: Hawks - Rams 103-110

Very significant was Rams' (#4) 110-103 road victory against Hawks. They outrebounded Hawks 58-44 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Rams brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Hawks were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Walter Brown (190-2003) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds. American Troy Baxter Jr (206-1996, college: Morgan St.) accounted for 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. The former international guard Derone Raukawa (181-1994) came up with 32 points and 6 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international forward Hyrum Harris (198-1996, college: Umpqua CC) added 23 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Hawks in the defeat. Five Rams and four Hawks players scored in double figures. Rams will play against Sharks (#4) in Southland in the next round. Hawks will play at home against Sharks and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
