Regular Season Round 4: Airs - Jets 93-86

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in New Plymouth where 7th ranked Jets (2-3) were defeated by eighth ranked Airs (2-3) 93-86 on Saturday. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of Armon Fletcher (196-1995, college: SIU) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 7 rebounds and guard David Azore (194-1999, college: UT Arlington) who added 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Airs players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Javion Blake (191-1997, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 34 points (!!!) and 7 assists and forward Danny Pippen (206-1997, college: Kent St.) scored 32 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Airs moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hawks and Jets. Airs will meet bottom-ranked Giants (#10) in the next round. Jets will play against Hawks (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
