Very expected game when 9th ranked Saints (2-4) lost to second ranked Rams (5-1) in Christchurch 88-102 on Friday. Rams forced 21 Saints turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international power forward Tai Wynyard (208-1998, college: Kentucky) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Tevin Brown (196-1998, college: Murray St.) accounted for 20 points and 5 assists. The former international guard Izayah Mauriohooho-Leafa (188-1996, college: Sacramento St., agency: BIG) came up with 22 points and 6 assists and Australian guard Kyle Adnam (186-1993) added 16 points respectively for Saints in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Rams. They maintain second place with 5-1 record behind leader Nuggets. Loser Saints dropped to the seventh position with four games lost.
