Regular Season Round 9: Rams - Hawks 112-97

Rather predictable result in Christchurch where third ranked Rams (8-3) defeated 5th ranked Hawks (5-7) 112-97. Rams players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Hawks were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Tevin Brown (196-1998, college: Murray St.) nailed 30 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Maxwell Darling (196-2000, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Rams' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international swingman Ethan Rusbatch (196-1992, college: Lincoln Trail) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Ira Lee (203-1998, college: Arizona) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Hawks in the defeat. Four Rams and five Hawks players scored in double figures. Rams keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tuatara. Hawks at the other side dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Rams will play against Giants (#9) in Stoke in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hawks will play at home against Bulls and hope to get back on the winning track.
