Regular Season Round 11: Tuatara - Sharks 101-86

NBL top team - Tuatara (10-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Sharks (5-9) in Auckland 101-86. They outrebounded Sharks 43-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Tuatara players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Robert Loe (211-1991, college: St.Louis) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Reuben Te Rangi (198-1994) helped adding 20 points and 5 assists. Five Tuatara players scored in double figures. American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-1988, college: Bellarmine) responded with 29 points and 9 assists and Australian forward Grant Anticevich (206-1999, college: California) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Tuatara have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-3 record. Sharks lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Hawks. Tuatara will play against Giants (#6) in Stoke in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sharks will play on the road against Airs in New Plymouth and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
