The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Whai at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were rolled over by Queens 89-66. Queens shot 23 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Whai only scored five points from the stripe. 25 personal fouls committed by Whai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Chrislyn Carr (165, college: Louisville) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import forward Maya Dodson (191-1999, college: Notre Dame) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Austrian forward Sarah Sagerer (189-1996, college: Stetson) replied with 21 points and American forward Mikayla Cowling (188-1996, college: California, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Whai.
