Hoiho (3-1) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging Pouakai (0-4) 75-74 on Thursday evening. Hoiho players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Ashten Prechtel (196-2001, college: Stanford) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 blocks. Her fellow American import guard Paige Bradley (178-1994, college: Denver) accounted for 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Forward Sharne Robati (180-2001) came up with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Jasmine Dickey (175-2000, college: Delaware, agency: LBM Management) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Pouakai in the defeat. Pouakai's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hoiho will play against Whai (#4) in the next round. Pouakai will play against Kahu and hopes to get finally their first victory.
