The game in was also quite interesting. Second ranked Kahu (6-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Pouakai (2-7). Kahu defeated Pouakai 101-90 on Sunday. Kahu shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Iimari Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Australian forward Tess Madgen (183-1990) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Jasmine Dickey (175-2000, college: Delaware, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 28 points and 8 rebounds and British guard Kennedy Leonard (173-1996, college: Colorado, agency: LBM Management) added 13 points and 14 assists respectively. Five Kahu and four Pouakai players scored in double figures. Pouakai's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kahu keeps a position of league leader, which they share with S. Hoiho. Loser Pouakai stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Kahu will meet at home league's second-placed Hoiho in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pouakai will play against Whai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
