The 5th Oceania U-20 basketball youth tournament for men and women will be held in Coffs Harbour, Australia from 19 to 26 June.
The tournament is restricted to only eight women and men's teams. As this is the only regional qualification tournament for this age group, many countries have already shown interest in participating.
The Cook Islands Basketball Federation plans to send two teams to the tournament. The following players have been selected for the training squads. The appointment of the coaches and training dates will be advised next week.

U20 training squad (men) Shane Ikimotu, Pecan Ikimotu, Steven Nookura, Brian Williams, Steven Williams, Stanley Valoa, Taratoa Metuariki, Romeo Rarere,
Jonathan Wichman, Cecil Heather, Morris Marsters, George Tingika, Gerald Katu, Clifford Atuatika, Turoa Opo, Caleb Teulilo, Eddie Parker, George Maoate, Gabriel Tamangaro, Suji Ezekiela, Makiuti Tongia, Eddie Brothers, Tingika Elikana, Tupa Tupa, JR Ezekiela.

The Cook Islands Basketball Federation (CIBF) is gearing up for a bumper 2017 season which kicks off next month.
