The Cook Islands men's and women's basketball teams travel to New Zealand on Saturday for a four-match tour.
The games have been organised in conjunction with Basketball New Zealand.
The women's squad is Ani Katu, Frances Valoa, Roimata Te Roi, Teumere Koteka, Sharlina Viking, Curly George, Malisa Marsters, Elizabeth Foster, Luciana Matenga and Lynly Shepherd. Foster replaces Dorothy George who has withdrawn due to work commitments and Anna Raina will join the team in Auckland. Liz Sosene replaces Jo Bevin as manager, and Ralph Adams is coach.
Men's squad: Rex Valoa, Terry Mataio, Teina Ataera, Shane Ikimotu, Matapo Matapo, Charlie Katu, Gerard Katu, Hosea Hosea, Jackson Tavai, Byron Ford. Coach Jim Ford will meet the team in Auckland. The men's team manager is Joe Wichman.
A cultural night is planned for Wednesday 17 March and a meet-and-greet will be held in Porirua on Saturday 20 March.
The game schedule for both teams is as follows.
Monday 15 March at Wellington Boys College hall 6pm CIs women vs Morehu; 8pm CIs men vs Morehu.
Tuesday 16 March at Mana College 6pm CIs women vs Porirua Invitation; 8pm CIs men vs Mana College CBL.
Thursday 18 March at Wainuiomata High School 6pm CIs women vs Wainuiomata; 8pm CIs men vs Porirua CBL.
Friday 19 March at Southwest Stadium 6pm CIs women vs Wellington Regional Maori Selection; 8pm CIs men vs Wellington Regional Maori Selection.
