Cook Islands pip Samoa in Kaitaia

Samoa - Cook Islands 76-79

Cook Islands overcame Samoa 79-76 in Kaitaia at the Polynesia Games 2022. They started with a 28-21 lead at the end of the first period and led 11 points at the halftime. Samoa meanwhile replied with a strong 26-15 surge in the third quarter, however feel short at the end.
Terai Sadler (178-F-1992, college: Cent Arkansas) collected 25 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Elianna Tuaiti netted 16, whilst Dalen Pilitati (167-G-1998) scred 13. Malama Leaupepe (173-G-1996) answered with 38 points in the losing effort.
