Australia destroyed American Samoa 113:8 as Alanna Smith (188-PF-96)''asau and Montanna Farrah-Seaton top scored with 18 points each. For American Samoa, Cecilia Taufa'asau replied with 4 points.

Guam smashed PNG 90:46 as Destiny Castro (168-SG-97) announced herself as a player to watch in this tournament with a neat double-double 31 points and 10 rebounds. Maimu Kala stepped up with 29 points and 4 rebounds in defeat.
New Zealand team got their tournament off to a comfortable start with a 108:21 win over the Solomon Islands. Tegan Graham (174-F-97) got herself a nice double-double and Krystal Leger-Walker gave her team mates plenty of service with 6 assists. Fiji rolled over Samoa 65:41.
