Oceania Tournament numbers dwindle

Fiji, Tahiti and Palau teams have withdrawn from the Oceania Tournament, sighting the economic downturn and political upheaval as reasons.

The withdrawal of the 3 men's and 3 women's teams will reduce the competition numbers to 5 in each category, with Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Guam and hosts CNMI remaining in the competition.

The FIBA Congress will still be conducted on Wednesday 24th June. Nominations for the President and Board have now closed and Federations will be informed of the nominees in the next couple of days.
