Pacific Island Men in US College

There have been strong performance and many suprises of several ot the Pacific Islanders playing college basketball in the US.  Vili Morton and Will Taukiuvea are preforming well as seniors, Tika Wesley and Chris Bartley are showed great improvements in their performances and stats.  No freshman has made an immediate impact, though the season is still young.  

 

American Samoa

Tui Avaava

Tui is one of latest entrants to this segment.  His father from American Samoa, therefore qualifying him in this section.  If there was a college journeyman Tui would certain be one.  Initially committing to Northwood CC, he transferred to University of Hawaii where his was unable to get a scholarship and ended up this year at Highline CC.  We are hoping to have his interview this week on the website

Sam Singh

The Fijian born forward /centre did not play against Loyola Chicago

Tai Wesley

Was not with the team when the played against UC Davis.  Tai has yet to see playing time for Utah State.
