Olympic Qualifying Tournament: Tough opposition for Fiji

Fiji will be the smallest country among the 12 who will be competing in the Olympic qualifying tournament next year. Teams from all around the World will compete for the last five available spots in the 2008 Olympic Games women basketball tournament. The european teams (Spain, Czech Republic, Latvia, Belarus) and the american runner-up (Brazil) will be the favourites of this tournament. Fiji will try to field the best team possible, including Valerie Nainima and the Whippy sisters, Letava and Mikaela.
