Fiji registered their first win at 2012 Pacific Youth Championship. They overcame Guam in the opener. Grace Taito delivered 15 points for the winners.
Fiji enjoyed a 15:8 lead after ten minutes. They held Guam at 6 points in the second frame and piled up a 26:14 halftime advantage. Fiji unloaded 25 points in the third quarter. They accounted for a massive 27-point advantage at the final intermission. Fiji maintained the lead throughout the fourth term and sealed a comfortable win at the end. Ro Naivaluvou netted 12 points and grabbed 13 boards, while Tiyana Kainamoli added 11 points for the winners. Kaelin Soriano and Rebecca Rupley had 8 points each in the loss.
