Fiji rolled over Solomon Islands 76-34 in Suva at the Melanesian Cup 2022. The hosts nailed 21 points at the start of the game to control the rest of it. Fiji closed the game with a final 26-9 surge to seal the win.
Matila Vocea top-scored for the winners with 15 points and Letava Whippy (175-G-1991, college: LIU Brooklyn) nailed 12. Kayla Mendez (169-G-1986) followed them with 10 points in a win. Joycelyn Basia replied with 12 points in defeat and Maya Heever notched 11.
