Guam edged Fiji 66–62 in a tightly contested FIBA Women’s U17 Oceania Cup matchup, holding off a strong second-half comeback. Guam built a commanding lead early, winning the first quarter 19–16 before exploding for 29 points in the second to take a sizeable halftime advantage. Fiji responded with urgency after the break, dominating the third quarter 21–10 to pull themselves back into contention. Despite Fiji’s continued push in the final period, Guam’s early cushion proved decisive as they held on through a low-scoring fourth quarter to secure a hard-fought four-point victory.
