Guam Juniors improve to 3-2 record in PABL - Jun 4, 2008

The Guam Women's Junior National team continued their action at the Philippines Amateur Basketball League. Lately Guam juniors beat Hagas Masters 49:30 at the St. John's School Gym. Derin Santos scored 7 points for Guam at the start of the game and they jumped to an early 7:0 lead. Rae Tajalle added 4 straight points after and Guam led comfortable 11:2 late in the first quarter. The Guam side grabbed a 15:8 lead into the second term. Derin Santos was active again at the start of the second frame and Guam cleared off to a 19:10 distance. Guam built a 35:15 lead at the interval and kept rolling after the break. They opened the second half with an 8:2 run to and held the hosts to just 4 points in the third period. Christina Cooper notched 5 points for Hagas in the final frame allowing them to outgun Guam juniors but it did not prevent Hagas Masters from falling at the end. Derin Santos knocked down 16 points to pace Guam. Christina Cooper and Alyssa Tomada answered with 7 points apiece in defeat.
Guam Junior National team improved to 3-2 record in the ladder. Hagas Masters fell to 1-4.
In the meantime Andersen Lady Bombers held off Lady Ace Hardware Aces 60:47. Doye Bird and Dawn Bottam scored 20 points each for the Lady Bombers. Lily Barranda answered with 20 points for the Lady Aces.   

Fuetsa to face GCC for title in Trident Women's Basketball League - 4 months ago
The Fuetsa Basketball Club will face Guam Community College for the title in the Trident Women's Basketball League at 2 p.m. March 10 in the University of Guam Calvo Field House. Fuetsa demolished the University of Guam Lady Trident Women's Basketball Club 71-36 Thursday in a semifinal game at the field house, according to a UOG news release. Warriors boys, girls win hoops titles - 5 months ago
The St. Paul Christian School Warriors boys' and girls' basketball teams set out on a mission to bring home the titles at both Asian Christian School Conference basketball tournaments. Mission accomplished. After four days of competition, both teams won their respective tournaments to bring home the titles. The Guam Community College Women's Basketball Team romped over the University of Guam Recreation Department Trident Women's Basketball Club 62-26 in the Trident Women's Basketball League Thursday at the UOG Calvo Field House.
