Hong Kong roll over Guam in Day 2 of the East Asian Games. Hong Kong posted a 69:42 win for 1-1 record. Guam meanwhile fell at 0-2 record.
Both teams lost their openers and entered the game winless. Hong Kong started with a 23-17 lead and never looked behind. They added 16-14 surge in the second frame and had 39:21 halftime advantage. Moreover Hong Kong won the third period 18-15 and finished the game with a 12-6 run.
CHEUK TING top-scored for the winners with 20 points and HUANG LAI FONG notched 14. CHU HAU YEE delivered 10, whilst LAM PIK YI had 10. Kathryn Castro ended up with 15 points in the losing effort and Derin Santos scored 10. CHARITY LUJAN notched 5, whilst Brianna Benito and Jocelyn Pardilla (157-G) shot 4 each.
