Taiwan earned the second win at the East Asian Games. They drubbed Guam for 2-1 record. Guam suffered the fourth straight defeat. Wu Yi-Ting (175-F/G-91) notched 23 points to pace the winners.
Taiwan erupted for 27 points in the opening quarter and gained a 19-point lead. Taiwan stayed in charge in the next periods. They established a comfortable 61:15 halftime advantage. Taiwan held their opponents to just 6 points in the third term. They entered the fourth quarter up by as many as 63 points. Taiwan dropped 27 points in the final term and secured a comfortable win at the end. Yang Ya-Hui (171-F-89) netted 21 points, while Huang YingLi (170-G-89) delivered 20 points and 7 rebounds in the victory. Charity Lujan responded with 11 points for Guam. Derin Santos posted 5 points in the losing effort.
