The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team came out on top during their championship match against the KFC Bombers Sunday, Dec. 10. The Tritons ended the game five points ahead of the Bombers, 101 - 96, to take the Triton Men's Basketball League Championship that took place at the University of Guam Field House. The Bombers took charge and ended the first quarter of the game in the lead, but the Tritons turned the tide and ended with a point lead at the half. The game picked up the pace in the second half with the Tritons taking a 16-point run at the end of the third quarter and into the start of the fourth. UOG went from a six-point deficit to a 10-point lead. The Bombers lessened the gap in the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. Geno Anderson hit some clutch three-pointers and Blake Jenkins and Anthony Brown made some important shots and pulled some rebounds that held off the Bombers and UOG won 101-96. Blake Jenkins led the Tritons with 31 points and 19 rebounds, Billy Belger scored 25 points. Geno Anderson scored 16 points and Anthony Brown scored 18 points with nine rebounds and 10 assists. Nallie Charles scored 27 points for the KFC Bombers with 14 rebounds. The Tritons finished the season 12-0 in the league and overall, had a 20-0 for the fall of 2017. The Bombers finished 8-5 in the league.

At 5-0, with another opponent/victory waiting in the wings, the Guam Men's National Basketball Team has already made history. Guam overtakes Thailand 91-70 - 2 months ago
The Guam Men's National Basketball Team cleared another hurdle towards advancing to FIBA Group A, demolishing Thailand 91-70 during Wednesday night's FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Pre-qualifiers in Nonthaburi Stadium, Thailand.
