Chinese Taipei booked the last ticket to the 2021 Fiba Asia Cup beating Guam in game 2 85-77. After a 5-point loss in the opener, Chinese Taipei managed to post an eight-point victory.
Guam grabbed a 22-16 lead at the start, while Chinese Taipei took control in the rest of the game. They answered with a 27-19 surge in the second frame and added a 26-22 rally in the third period. At the end Lin Ting-Chien (99) and Wei Han Lin scored the last points for their team to advance for the Fiba Asia Cup.
Lin Ting-Chien top-scored for the winners with 26 points and Long-Mao Hu (198-SF-92, college: Chaminade) netted 16. Ying-Chun Chen (182-PG-93, college: Liberty) posted 14, whilst Te-Wei Lee (201-C-91) netted 11. Mark Johnson (198-F-92) replied with 18 points in the losing effort.
