Apoel Nicosia (OPAP Basket League) has added 27-year-old American center Jonathan Galloway to their roster. Galloway, who also holds a Guamanian passport, recently played for the Guamanian National Team in the Guamanian league. He stands at 209cm and weighs 107kg, and attended UC Irvine in college.
Galloway, who played for Guam, participated in the Pacific Games in Honiara (Solomon Islands) last year. His team secured the Silver medal, and his individual performance during the event included 5 games with an average of 6.4 points per game, 6.2 rpg, and 1.0 assist per game (apg). He also recorded an impressive 2.2 bpg. Galloway's shooting percentages were 57.9% from the field (FGP) and 41.7% from the free-throw line (FT).
He's a highly experienced player, having played professionally in Croatia (Zadar), Denmark (Bakken), Finland (Bisons), Switzerland (Monthey-Chablais and Massagno), Turkey (TED Ankara), and Czech Republic (Decin).
His team won the Swiss League Cup in 2023.
In 2023, his team emerged victorious in the Swiss League Cup.
He graduated from the University of California - Irvine in 2019, and this will be his fifth season as a professional player.
