Papua New Guinea - Fiji 68-61 Papua New Guinea are 2025 Melanesia Cup winners. They wrapped up their perfect campaign in Solomon Islands with win over Fiji in the championship game tonight. Moses Apiko (184-PG-1993) stepped up with 23 points and 7 rebounds to pace the champions. Fiji eked out a 37-34 halftime lead. Papua New Guinea however limited their opponents to just 24 points in the second half and snatched a tough win at the end. Purari Muri (190-C-1991) tossed in 20 points for Papua New Guinea. Tyrone McLennan (188-G-2000) answered with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for Fiji. |
