Diablos hitman Dave Sablan and Sunrisers shooting star Mark Wallace are currently dead even in the 2004 BANMI Budweiser Cup scoring race.
After 11 games, Sablan and Wallace have poured in identical totals of 264 points in 11 games to wound up with 24 points per game running averages in the tournament.
APC Brothers explosive swingman Fred Peliseman slid a bit after making 261 points in the same number of games to finish in solo third place with a 23.7 points per game average.
John Santos of pacesetter Toyota Ol'Aces I is currently in fourth place after making 125 points in seven games. The Tinian resident is norming 17.9 points a game.
Peliseman's older brother Randy proves that lethal scoring runs in the family capturing the fifth spot with a 17.8 points per game average. A vital cog for struggling Lebwel, Randy has lit up the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium for 178 points in 10 games.
The sixth spot is occupied by league surprise Erik Ouimette of the Sun Devils. Ouimette has so far notched 137 points in eight games to average a strong 17.1 points per contest.
Brothers' one-man fastbreak Tony Diaz is next in scoring with a 16.6 points per game clip. Diaz has so far produced 166 points in 10 games. George Masga is tied with Diaz in the seventh to eights spots after the Diablo center also managed 166 points in 10 games to average 16.6 per outing.
Two other players also finished deadlocked for the last two spots in the ongoing Budweiser Cup top 10 scoring race. Sunrisers slotman Jawn Joyner and Ol'Aces I forward Peter Camacho are both averaging 14.2 points per game after each poured in 156 points in 11 games.
The Budweiser Cup takes a weeklong break starting this Monday in observance of Holy Week. Action picks up next Monday, April 12, with Lebwel taking on Ol'Aces II in the opener starting at 7pm. The second game would then feature Diablo squaring off against Sunrisers at around 8:30pm.
