Spiders and Kings joined Garapan Rollers I and 69ers in first place of the 2004 Island-wide Village Youth Basketball League.

Spiders won their second game in as many starts after nipping Sparks 32-29 last April 13 at the Garapan Court.

Spiders were ahead by a ton until a late-game rally by Sparks made it interesting. Jesse Blesoch led Spiders with 13 points. Jojo Ulloa was the highpoint man for Sparks with 10.

Kings caught up with Spiders two days later after they ran roughshod over Local Boys to the tune of 64-16 at the Chalan Kanoa court. Bryan Ajoste and Mark Dela Cruz paced Kings with 10 points apiece. Local Boys were led by the 8 points of Rayban Ngiralmau.

In other IVYBL games the previous week, Sixers routed Koblerville, 89-20, last April 14 at the Koblerville court and Saints whipped G-Rollers II, 57-33, last April 19 at the District 1 court.

Veteran Jason Bahillo led the Sixers' attack with 25 points in their game against Koblerville, whose lone star Tony Rogolifoi Jr. netted 14.

Saints, meanwhile, got 12 markers from Larry Sugiyama in the win over G-Rollers. Josh Moses led G-Rollers with 15 points in a losing cause.
