New Zealand Maori-New Caledonia 113:53

New Zealand rout New Caledonia for second win at the Pacific Championship 2013. The hosts of the tournament improved to 2-0 record after a 113:53 comfortable win. New Caledonia meanwhile fell at 0-2 record.
New Zealand opened the game with a 26-21 lead and added massive 32-7 run in the second frame. They produced a 24-9 rally in the third quarter and reached 45-point advantage after three quarters. The favorites finished the game with a 31-16 run for the final success.
Bailey-Novell led the well-balanced team with 19 points and Puke Lenden (198-G/F-80) notched 18. James Paringatai (200-F-86) and Shea Ili (183-G-92) followed them with 15 points each. Myriam Fenuafanote replied with 10 points, while Ruben Ha Ho and Taufana produced 9 each. Joan Delaunay-Belleville delivered 8 points in a loss.
