They scored 16 points and got within 5 points at the final intermission. But Fiji sparked with an 18:6 rally in the fourth term and sealed the winning outcome. Vugakoto posted 16 points, while Dale Wise netted 9 points for the winners. Zorena Adjouhgniope responded with 12 points for New Caledonia. Samantha Honda had 8 points in the loss.
