New Caledonia celebrated third place at the Melanesian Cup 2022. They edged Solomon Islands 54-28 in the game for the 3/4 places. New Caledonia started the game with 15-9 run and dominated the rest of the game. They led 13 points at the halftime and posted victories in the second half as well.
Enola An Ah Tchung top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Julie Kilikili poured in 7. Monique Wanefai replied with 9 points in a loss and Joycelyn Basia produced 5.
