Shea Ili
International Guard Shea Ili (184-G-92) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Wellington S. and that's him to receive a Australiabasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 24-year old guard had the game-high 30 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Wellington S. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Southland S. (#2, 9-5) 109-94. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Wellington S. to consolidate first place in the New Zealand NBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Wellington S. still have not lost a single game, getting all 14 victories. In the team's last game Ili had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Wellington S., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ili has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 7.4apg) and averages solid 2.5spg,55.8% FGP and 46.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American guard McKenzie Moore (198-G-92, agency: Two Points) of Canterbury. Moore impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Of course Canterbury cruised to a 91-83 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Taylor Hawks (#6, 3-10). Canterbury's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 7-7 record is not bad at all. Moore is one of the most experienced players at Canterbury and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Nigerian Nnanna Egwu (211-F/C-92) of SC Rangers (#3). Egwu showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of SC Rangers, leading his team to a 112-82 easy win against #2 ranked Southland S. in a game of the week. SC Rangers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 5 lost games. Egwu has a great season in New Zealand. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.2rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Corey Webster (188-G-88) of Wellington S. - 37 points, 2 rebounds and 10 assists
5. Nick Kay (206-C/F-92) of Southland S. - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Tom Ingham (190-G-93) of Nelson G. - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Mitchell McCarron (191-G-92) of SC Rangers - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Earnest Ross (196-G-91) of SC Rangers - 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Lindsay Tait (190-G-82) of SC Rangers - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Jeremy Kendle (186-G-88) of Canterbury - 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
