Jets ink Wally Ellenson, ex Estudiantes C. - 16 hours ago
Manawatu Jets (NBL) agreed terms with 24-year old American guard Wally Ellenson (198-91kg-94, college: Marquette). He played recently at Estudiantes Concordia in Argentinian La Liga, but left the team two months ago. In 10 games he had 4.7ppg and 1.8rpg this season. The most of last season Ellenson spent at St. John's Edge in Canadian NBL Canada where in 39 games he recorded 7.4ppg and 3.2rpg. Taane Samuel (ex Whittlesea P.) signs at Jets - 7 days ago
TAANE SAMUEL Manawatu Jets (NBL) landed 19-year old New Zealander forward Taane Samuel (200-99). He played in 2017 at Whittlesea City Pacers in Australian Big V, where he averaged 18.9ppg and 7.1rpg in 10 games. He most recently returned from a stint at De La Salle University in the Philippines, where injury prevented him from playing as much as he wanted.
