ANTHONY ODUNSI

Manawatu Jets (NBL) landed 26-year old Nigerian ex-international guard Anthony Odunsi (193-93kg-92, college: Houston Baptist, agency: Haylett Sports). He played in the summer at Sandringham Sabres in Australian NBL1. In 19 games he averaged impressive 16.2ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg. The last season Odunsi played at Caen Basket Calvados (ProB) in French league. But in two games he had just 1.5ppg and 1.5rpg.
Three years ago he was drafted by Canton Charge (D-League) in fifth round (95th overall).
The former Houston Baptist University staris in his third season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements his college team won AEC Tournament in 2014. Odunsi received also NABC All-District 23 1st Team award back in 2016.
He represented Nigeria at the Afrobasket Championships two years ago. Odunsi's team won Silver and his stats at that event were 3 games: 1.0ppg.
Odunsi has played also professionally in Iceland (Stjarnan).

Kay number one in New Zealand for round 1 - 4 days ago
NICK KAY Australian Power forward Nick Kay (206-F/C-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Saints, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 1. The 26-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed Hawks (#4, 1-1) with 27-point margin 106-79.
