NICK KAY

Wellington Saints (NBL) inked 26-year old Australian international power forward Nick Kay (206-104kg-92, college: MSU Denver). He played recently at Wildcats in Australian NBL league. In 34 games he recorded 14.7ppg, 8.7rpg (#3 in the league), 3.0apg and 1.2spg this season. Kay helped them to win the league title. A very good season in his career as he was awarded Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Most Improved Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and voted to 1st Team.
He has been also a member of Australian international program for some years. Kay has regularly played for Australian senior team since 2017 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2010.
He represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast (Australia) last year. Kay's team won Gold and his stats at that event were 5 games: 10.6ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.2apg, 1.4spg, FGP: 56.7%, 3PT-1 (83.3%), FT: 57.1%.
Kay has played previously professionally in Australia (Illawarra Hawks and Townsville Crocodiles) and New Zealand (Sharks).
He attended MSU Denver until 2015 and it is his fourth season in pro basketball.

Here is the last round review presented by ESL. NBL top team - Saints (13-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Jets (2-10) in Wellington 107-82. Saints made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Saints outrebounded Jets 51-37 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of New Zealanders who are currently playing abroad. This week's number one is an international forward Finn Delany (198-95). He could not help FMP (9-4) in their last game.
