BRANDON BOWMAN

34-year old forward Brandon Bowman (205-F-84, agency: David Lee Services) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Hawks and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Jets (#7, 2-9) with 27-point margin 106-79. Hawks is placed at 2nd position in New Zealand league. They are still close to the very top. Hawks would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Bowman had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Hawks, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Georgetown University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bowman is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.6ppg), rebounds (9th best: 8.1rpg), assists (7th best: 4.4apg) and averages solid 72.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Tim Quarterman (198-G-94) of Rangers. He is American guard in his first season at Rangers. In the last game Quarterman recorded impressive 39 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Rangers lost that game 81-102 to the higher-ranked Giants (#6, 4-8). This loss caused Rangers to slide to the very bottom (9) position in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Rangers managed to get this year. Quarterman is one of the most experienced players at Rangers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.6ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.6rpg and 5.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Dane Brooks (191-G/F-96) of Airs (#8). Brooks scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Brooks' great performance Airs lost 74-83 to the league's current leader Saints (#1, 11-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Airs can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Brooks he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Brooks has a very solid season. In 9 games in New Zealand he scored 12.0ppg. He also has 4.3rpg and FGP: 68.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kuran Iverson (206-F-95) of Jets - 20 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Jordair Jett (185-G-91) of Giants - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Dominique Kelman-Poto (201-F-94) of Sharks - 20 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Rhys Vague (206-F-96) of Giants - 26 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
8. E.J. Singler (198-F-90) of Hawks - 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
