Defending champion Wellington Saints (NBL) added to their roster 23-year old American point guard Mike Smith (180cm-84kg-1997, college: Michigan). Smith moved there from Sioux Falls Skyforce (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 42 games he recorded 9.1ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.8apg last season.
Last year (2021 years after his graduation) he was drafted by Sioux Falls Skyforce (G-League) in second round (13th overall).
The former University of Michigan standout is in his first season in pro basketball.
