Tupaea number one in New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa for round 4

Naturalized Australian Guard Tahlia Tupaea (175-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Northern Kahu, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, four rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Mainland P. (#3, 2-3) with 26-point margin 76-50. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Kahu to consolidate first place in the New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa. N. Kahu have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Tupaea had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She turned to be Kahu's top player in her first season with the team. Tahlia Tupaea has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.4ppg) and averages impressive 61.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jordan Horston (188-F-2001) of league's second-best Tokomanawa Queens. Third on the list of top players last round was another Tokomanawa Q.'s star - South Korean forward Jihyun Park (180-F-2000). Park scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. She was another key player of Tokomanawa Queens, helping her team with a 85-73 win against the lower-ranked Whai (#5, 1-4). Queens needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Park has a great season in New Zealand. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.5ppg (5th best).
