Tahiti-Samoa 78:95

Samoa complete the Semifinal picture of the Pacific Championship 2013. They posted a 95:78 win over Tahiti at the Quarterfinal Stage. Tomorrow Samoa will take on Australia at the Semifinal Stage.
Samoa started the game with a 22-19 lead and added 23-22 run in the second period. Moreover Samoa managed to win the second half quarters. They posted a 24-20 run in the third period and finished the game with a 26-17 surge.
Charles Epati and Robson Tavita (194-F-70) stepped up with 19 points each and Ratu Levy nailed 18. George Leafa produced 15 points in a win. Eddy Commings finished the game with 22 points in a loss and Ariihau Meuel had 15. Tavae Teihotu scored 9, whilst Tuparau Ariitu added 8.

Guam-Fiji 72:58

Guam reach the Semifinal Stage of the Pacific Championship 2013. Guam overcame Fiji 72:58 at the Quarterfinal and reached the Last 4.
Guam opened the game with an 18-16 run and added 19-10 surge in the second period. It allowed them to take 37:26 at the halftime as they never looked behind. Both teams posted 15 points each in the third quarter, while Guam closed the game with a 20-17 run.
Mekeli Wesley (206-F-79, agency: Stanley International, college: BYU) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Jesus Cruz nailed 16. Joseph Blas poured in 12, whilst Earvin Jose notched 9. Sowakula erupted with 26 points and 17 rebounds in a loss and Seruvatu added 8. Sikivou posted 7, whilst Tabuduka shot 4.
Tomorrow Guam will take on New Zealand.

Papua New Guinea-New Zealand Maori 66:103

New Zealand demolish Papua New Guinea at the Quarterfinal Stage of the Pacific Championship. The hosts of the campaign posted a 103:66 win and advanced to the Semifinals.
New Zealand Maori took the lead from the first minutes and reached 32-18 advantage at the end of the first period. Both teams scored 19 points each in the second frame for 14-point lead at the halftime of the home side. New Zealand Maori were successful with 23-11 run in the third period and later finished the game with a 29-18 rally. They managed to score three-digit number at the end of the game.
James Paringatai (200-F-86) stepped up with 19 points and Puke Lenden collected 16 points and 13 rebounds. Taurima also scored 16 and Bailey-Novell added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Gabriel Elavo poured in 16 points in the losing effort and Purari Muri had 14. Wally Parapa (191-F) produced 12, whilst Apia Muri shot 11.

Australia rout New Caledonia to enter semis of the Pacific Championship 2013. They outscored New Caledonia 95:53 in the Quarterfinal game.
Australia was the favorite of the game and started with a 24-10 rally. They added 23-16 run in the second frame and enjoyed a 47:26 halftime advantage. Moreover the second half also belonged to Australia that posted two victories. They came up with a 19-13 run in the third period and finished the game with a 29-14 surge.
Joel Smith top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Gerasimos McKay nailed 16. Rhys Vague delivered 12, whilst Callum Barker collected 10 points and 10 rebounds. Jean-Jacques Taufana (185-F-86) ended up with 19 points in defeat and Fenuafanote posted 10. Meztdorf poured in 8, whilst Delaunay-Belleville added 7.
