New Caledonia topped Tonga to open win count in Apia. Beniela Adjouhgniope (196-F-91) came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. New Caledonia recorded a 39:33 halftime lead. They followed with a 24:18 run in the fourth term to claim the win. Rodrigue Tetainanuarii (203-F/C-82) added 19 points in the victory. Marcus Alipate (182-G-92, college: St.Thomas) replied with 44 points for Tonga.

Samoa - Guam 81-105
Guam stunned hosting Samoa in Apia. Guam recorded a 29:13 lead after ten minutes. They ignited a 36:22 run in the third quarter to clear off for good. Daren Hechanova (190-G-93) provided 22 points, while Jesus Cruz had 16 points in the victory. Dru-Leo Ape (185-G-01) replied with 32 points for Samoa.
