Guam rolled over Papua New Guinea 96-77 in Day 2 of the Pacific Games 2023. Guam started with a 23-20 run in the first quarter and added a massive 33-20 surge in the second frame. Both teams exchanged the narrow wins in the second half for the final result.
Takumi Fukuda stepped up with 30 points and Reo Aiken (188-G-2001, college: Moorpark CC) netted 18. Mark Johnson (198-F-1992) produced 16, whilst Ben Borja (203-F/C-1998, college: Cal Maritime) had 14. Apia Muri (190-G-1988) replied with 21 points in a loss and Coni Muri (181-PG-2001) had 19.
