FBL Division Finals tips off Sunday

Division titles will be on the line when Game One of the best of three championship series starts this Sunday for the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) at the Palau National gym. For Division A it will feature the Ilocandia Bulls against the Surangel Stars at 3 p.m. The Ilocandia Bulls automatically barged their way into the Division A finals after beating the Aloha Maid Choppers 100-87 in the quarterfinals. The Bulls took the first finals seat after the defending champion FR Spoilers officially backed out from the league. In Sundays game, the Bulls, who are well rested, will again rely on the troika of Edward Baysa, RB Dorado and Marvic Ngchar with their regular mainstays Raul Osias, Joeger Supnet, Ryan Cacho and Dondon Cabasal.
On the other hand, Surangel Stars made their way into the finals after beating a hard fighting Western Union, 94-91 last April 13. The Stars will again have their tall line up composed of brothers Leo and Ronald Magcalas, ace scorer Arnold Undecimo, Dines The Flash Demate, Rex T-Rex de Asis, Ador The Scavenger Hilvano, Bong Gayongorza, Ernie The Tank Bautista, ZJ Baby Face Asido, Anthony Bruzula and Rodel Think Tank Flores.
In Division B, it will feature the championship series between the Liquid Skyy Dragons against the Rams at 1:30 p.m. The Dragons will have brothers Dovie and Leomar de Jesus, Kim, Ninoy and Vic Agsalud, Gomer Miguel, Jun Bautista, Rene Bautista, Jerome Castillo, Bogs Sanchez and Sonny Aliposo with Ricky Erese as playing coach. Meanwhile, the Rams will parade its line up of Jake Mahor, Ronald Reyes, John Lloyd Corpuz, Alvin and Jhun Magcalas, Ronnel Dato and Marty Lumigis.
