Clinic in Palau

Under the direction on former NBA player David Wood (205-F-64), Palau Basketball Federation will conduct coaching clinics for youth aged 8 - 17 years of age.

The Palau Basketball Federation will conduct clinics from June 22 - 25 with 4 age divisions: 8-10 yrs old, 11-12 yrs old, 13-15 yrs old and 15-17 yrs old. The program will be held at the Palau National Gym. Former NBA veteran and now coach Mr. David Wood from the University of the Nations will be on island to run the clinics with 5 more assistant coaches and about 20 local volunteer coaches who are going to help and learn from the clinic. Invitations are open to any coaches in the Oceania Region, but they need to pay their own way to Palau. Palau Basketball Federation can help with 50% of the accomodation and food cost.
David Wood was a 205cm forward who has played 7 NBA season from 1989 to 1997, he played 8 different teams including the Chicago Bulls or the Phoenix Suns. He averaged 3.9pts 45.2%FG and 2.4rbs in 14min during the 412 NBA games he played.
