Bad day for the South-Pacific Mini-Games host, the women were crushed by an unstoppable Fiji squad and the men came out short and fall to Guam 57-65. The men are still playing without Yutaka Gibbons Jnr.

Men: Palau - Guam: 57-65
Palau took the lead in the first half (30-24) but a 12-23 run by Guam in the third quarter was to much to overcome to get this one. Yutaka Gibbons Jnr didn't play in this game and his team really needs him to be able to compete in the upcoming quarterfinals. Sunshine Soalablai did his best with 12pts 4/13FG 4rbs in 25min but that wasn't enough. Lyndon Ngiramolau recorded 9pts 4/9FG 9rbs and 3st in 28min and Nik Techemang added 7pts 3/9FG and 6rbs in 22min. Palau can't secured the second spot in the Pool A but will need a full strenght squad against Micronesia to take the win.

Women: Palau - Fiji: 25-71
No miracle for the ladies who almost resisted during one quarter 6-20, but they were unable to score a single point in the second stanza against stronger and taller fijian players (0-16) on their way to a +46pts blowing win. Fiji was playing without its best players Valerie Nainima, but they didn't really miss her. Cheryl Rengulbai scored 7pts 2/10FG in 28min, Stephanie Ngirchoimei recorded 6pts 3/14FG and 13rbs in 34min.

Thursday will be a day off for both men and women team. On Friday, both team will play against Micronesia, this will be the last pool game for the men squad.
