2005 Gov't League: MOF won the Final Trophy

When the Government Basketball league commenced on September 6th, there were 21 teams competing for the 2 division trophies and the overall season trophy. The Ministry of Finance team set a record in the basketball world in Palau to breeze through the whole season with no loss. They played a total of 20 games to win both their division championship trophy and the season finals trophy.

However the defending champions PNOC gave them a run for their money as the championship game was won in the last 15 seconds of the 4th quarter, as PNOC made crucial mistakes to help team MOF set the benchmark for a winning streak that landed them the bragging rights of GB Basketball and the main price.
